Social Mobility Analytics Cloud is taking center stage alongside Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Augmented Reality (AR) and more. With these visible changes, various industries are embracing technology making themselves future-ready.

In the era of digitization, HR, an unevolved yet important part of any organization has also taken up technology. “While the human resource is instrumenting the changes in the system, employees are feeling threatened,” said Simin Askari, Vice President- Human Resource, DS Group.

Going forward, the responsibilities of HR has increased. “Not only it is restricted to basic HR duties but now they have become head of productivity which further helps in maximizing output,” believes Sanjay K Jain, Director-Human Resource (CHRO), Jindal Stainless Steel at BW Businessworld 5th HR Excellence Awards 2020.

Agreeing to him, Head of Human Resources of Savills, a real estate service provider company Kaushik Chakraborty said, “Digitisation is helping people from all age groups to work together. HR personnel finds the technology useful in improving the management system of the organization.”

According to Raj Gupta, General Manager-HR, Tata Consultancy Services, “Technology brings in an essential aspect of customization.” Adding to this, Suma P. N., Director-Human Resources, Otis Elevator said, “Technology is facilitating an inevitable change.”

The workforce dynamics are shifting as it is impacting a man to machine ratio. To reinvent themselves in a more static role, HR can work together with operational managers and utilize their expertise in employee management.
